Punk, Ska, Reggae, Rock´N´Roll – ALL POLKA!
Once upon a time in 2002 on a party where Weird Al Yankovic’ “Hot Rocks Polka” was played, the partygoers experienced enlightenment “rock’n’roll is nothing else than polka!”. And what about punk, ska, surf, rockabilly, metal …? Still, everything polka! Polkaholix were founded and are now on a mission to tell the world their secret. After playing in clubs a couple of times, they soon were invited to a big polka service in 2003 at the festival of world music in Germany. Afterwards numerous invitations followed from all directions.
